sisters of misery

This is the prettiest book cover I've ever seen in my life. If I saw this book in a book shop I'd rush in and buy it immediately. But I'm not going to read it, oh no, because the title sounds a bit sad, and I don't 'do' misery lit.
I think I might frame it instead.

  1. Hello there! You're right - that is a gorgeous picture! But who wants to read about misery? Not when Georgette Heyer can make you roll on the floor laughing!

I like your Irish Green blog look. I must find out about your own books...

  2. I found myself looking at those pretty flowers and wondering what they were so I could get some for the garden . . . I don't do misery fiction either. The teetering pile beside my bed comprises everything from compost-fiction (tales from the allotments or something), through Edward Thomas: One Green Field to a re-run of the Poldark novels I have managed to find in car boot sales and charity shops this year . . .

  3. I'm a sucker for book covers too. So many that are just sitting there unread. Sad really.
